Dr. Ketchum Under Malicious Attack By Individuals Seeking to Destroy Her Professionally and Personally

In a despicable move, a yet unknown individual or group appears to have hacked into the website or setup a bogus website in the guise of it being from the journal Dr. Ketchum acquired, The Journal of Advanced Zoological Exploration in Zoologyorginal (JAMEZ). Then they posted slanderous lies about Dr. Ketchum and her acquisition of JAMEZ and her changing the name to DeNovo so she could post the passing peer review. In a brief phone call Dr. Ketchum told me she had all the emails from the original owner of JAMEZ to include him agreeing to allow her to acquire the journal, helping her acquire a ISSN number for the transfer of JAMEZ to DeNovo, advising her that on how to publish the passing peer reviews on the DNA Study, and how he would be assisting Robin with the transfer of the journal and getting it setup. Dr. Ketchum expressed outrage that someone would stoop so low and that she had a complete and full audit trail of the transaction to acquire the JAMEZ. Though Dr. Ketchum did not have to purchase the JAMEZ, monies were paid to the original owner to have the Website changed from JAMEZ to DeNovo and Dr. Ketchum said she has all the documentation for this transaction.


It is unclear who actually owns this web site. The Registrant is listed as "ATTN: DPS Contact 0dpjq7l3skiab9vqmsotfj2lju" and the Organization listed as Domain Discreet Privacy Service, 12808 Gran Bay Pkwy, Jacksonville, FL 32258

This is outrageous and shows just how low, despicable, and malicious the "Melba Haters" have become. It is obvious they will stop at nothing to destroy Dr. Ketchum and the DNA Study.

THE QUESTION IS WHY????????? You do not go to this much trouble to discredit and destroy something that is a hoax or not true. If the paper was not valid why would you just not ignore it and let it die under its on folly????? It appears to me that what ever is in this paper is so ground breaking and yet damaging to these people they will literally stop at nothing to destroy it and Dr. Ketchum.

Dr. Sykes Makes Conflicting Statements - Takes Credit for Hair Cleaning Process That was used in Kecthum DNA Study - Handles Hair Samples without Sterile Gloves/Face Mask

In my opinion it appears Dr. Skyes has a hard time being consistent when talking about many aspects of his research. One area where Sykes has an obvious conflict is the ability to decontaminate hair.

In the Bigfoot Files - Yeti episode Dr. Sykes confirmed and validated the decontamination protocols used by the Ketchum DNA Study to ensure the hair samples were pure and not contaminated. Below is the statement from Dr. Sykes:

The fact is hair is very resilient. You can clean any suggestion of contamination from the surface of the hair without damaging the DNA that lies within. This is something we have only known in the past couple of years.

Yet in the most recent installment of the three part series Bigfoot Files - Bigfoot episode Dr. Sykes has this to say about human contamination:

What has really bugged any serious attempt to identify any species, up until the last couple of years, is that there always human contamination.  And I can tell you, it’s damned difficult to get rid of. 

I am confused, in the first special about the Yeti he talked about how easy it was to remove the contamination when he only had two samples that showed he had "discovered" a new species of hybrid bear. Now when he goes to the United States and begins testing for Bigfoot removing the "human contamination...is damned difficult". How convenient for Dr. Sykes to have this lapse in his memory. It appears to me Dr. Sykes has an agenda.

In the special the narrator also makes what in my opinion is a blatantly false and misleading statement:

Sykes has developed a unique multistage cleaning system that removes all contamination and he is using his cutting edge technique to take on the world of Bigfoot USA.

 This "unique multistage cleaning system" has been used in crime labs across the United States for years! Dr. Ketchum also used this process many years before Dr. Sykes claims to have developed it. Below is an excerpt from Dr. Ketchum's DNA Paper "Supplemental Data - Material and Methods

 DNA Isolation

Since the presence of normal human DNA contamination of submitted samples was a primary concern throughout this study, all samples were thoroughly cleaned in a manner consistent with forensic testing procedures. In order to further rule out contamination from human personnel and lab workers, samples from submitters and scientists working with the samples were collected for comparison with the results obtained in the various DNA tests.

Hair samples were then sorted into two groups for extraction at DNA Diagnostics. DNA from those samples containing 5-50 or more single hair roots were selected and the roots clipped into 1.5 mL microcentrifuge tubes. The hair roots were thoroughly cleansed with water and ethanol prior to extraction to remove any extraneous DNA.

Hair roots were placed in microcentrifuge tubes for DNA extraction and ATL buffer (Qiagen) was added. These samples were digested with proteinase K (PK, 20 mg/mL) and dithiothreitol (DTT, 1.0 M) at 56°C overnight, followed by a three-step organic extraction procedure using phenol:chloroform:isoamyl alcohol (25:24:1) with an additional PCI extraction. This process was followed by a butanol wash and buffer exchange/concentration into TE-4 buffer (10 mM Tris, 0.1mM EDTA, pH 8.0) using Microcon®-100 ultrafiltration devices (Millipore, Billerica, MA)93-94.

So in my opinion Dr. Sykes has a serious issue with telling the truth and taking credit for things he did not do.

I was also very disturbed by a scene in the special where Dr. Sykes appears to be handing hair samples on his office desk with NO sterile cloves on and NO mask to prevent human contamination that in his words are " damned difficult to get rid of."

If we apply the same standards that Dr. Ketchum was held to then any and all samples Dr. Sykes processed are contaminated. His processes are flawed and in error. He is hoaxing and falsifying his results. What is "good for the goose is good for the gander".  Of course I am sure this was just a "demonstration scene" from the show and not the real hair samples?????????

      a.   Purchase a cheap Chewbacca mask, modify the mask by dying the hair red and breaking down the thick fibers to make thin wispy hair.

     b.  Scuffed the nose to make it look gray and dry.

     c.  Modify the lips of the mask to make them appear weathered and chapped.

d. Painted the gums of the mask black.

e.  Changed the arrangement and size of the teeth from the original mask.

f.   Painted their own tongue black and gray

g.  Have the ability to disjoint their lower jaw so it juts out at least four inches.

h.  Fitted the mask with expertise that rivals top Hollywood special effects artist.

i.   Located, purchased, and altered the color of special effects contact lenses

j.  Found and purchased a full body suit, colored the hair to match the mask, and fitted it so well that if fooled the following individuals: John Bindernagle, Adrian Erickson, Dennis Pfohl, Troy Hudson, Matt Moneymaker, Mary Green and dozens of others.

   2. Adrian Erickson spent thousands of dollars purchasing this video and the land from the original land owners knowing this was a hoax.

   3. The Erickson Project Team spent over five years perpetrating this hoax making hours of videos of this hoaxed subject and another larger subject.   

   4. Adrian Erickson, John Bindernagle, Dennis Prahl, Troy Hudson, and    Mary Green are Hoaxers, Liars, and/or completely incompetent.

   5.That the video ends with the close-up of the face and does not show the Bigfoot’s full body and that later in the video before walking off, looking at the lady filming the video and growling.

   6. Adrian Erickson, Dennis Prahl, Troy Hudson, and Dr. Melba Ketchum perpetrated a planned hoaxed to film the subject, collect blood from the hoaxed subject, and falsify DNA results of said hoaxed subject. 

   7. That the multiple reports over the last forty years of some Bigfoot “resembling the Chewbacca character from the Star Wars movie” are lies, hoaxes, or misidentifications. 

 

You can dress up your comment with words like “do not mean any disrespect” , “I don’t have an axe to grind”, or “I don’t want to offend anyone”, but it does not change what you mean. If you choose to have this opinion that is your right, just be aware of what you are really saying.

The Sasquatch Genome Project has released the complete two hour press conference video. The footage is unedited and complete. This is a very GOOD press conference and all the participants did an excellent job representing the DNA Study and their various organizations. I say hat's off to the group, WELL DONE!!!

DeNovo Journal Website Hacked - Content Destroyed and Altered

In a malicious act hackers broke into the DeNovo Journal Website yesterday destroying and altering content. The site has been taken off line as Dr. Ketchum works with the hosting company to restore the site.

Dr. Ketchum released this statement via her FaceBook Page:

 Denovo Journal was hacked and is temporarily down among other things. The haters have been busy. May God bless them and forgive them. I ask prayers for those that have so little to fill their lives that they waste valuable time here on earth doing evil instead of helping others and loving their neighbors.

This is yet another attempt by the "Melba Haters" to defame and discredit her and the DNA Study. I am personally shocked and appalled by these actions. I have also come to the conclusion that this group of people will stoop to anything to destroy and discredit Dr. Ketchum and the DNA Study.  They have a visceral hatred of her that defies logic and borders on psychotic.

The bloggers also piled on by making fun of Dr. Ketchum and making false accusations. One blogger made the false statement that the reason the site was altered was "Because they can't afford it". This is totally and completely FALSE. This blogger also took the opportunity to post the erroneous information that had  obviously been hacked and post it in a "HIT PIECE". I am so disgusted by this group of unethical, despicable people. This blogger made no attempt to contact Dr. Ketchum and verify the changes to the website were legitimate.

False content was also added to make it appear that the DNA Study did not pass Peer Review. It is obviously that the study is making a group of people very angry and very uncomfortable, so angry that the want to destroy Dr. Ketchum and discredit the paper at ANY COST, my question is why? Are they afraid of the truth???
