People that are new to my research often ask "why do you not put a trail camera in your back yard". If you have been following my research you know that I have attempted over and over to capture the subject that has been visiting my residence. I have used trail cameras, remote hardwired video cameras, and mini-spy cams. The trail cameras were laid face down. Objects were placed in front up the video cameras, and the spy cams stopped functioning or their batteries would run down without explanation.

Bigfoot In It's Natural Environement - Almost Invisible!

The casual Bigfoot follower and the general public have been spoiled by the Patterson Bigfoot Film footage. They think that those unique circumstance should be re-creatable and modern Bigfoot researchers should be able to go into he woods, have a Bigfoot step out on a clear sunny day and slowly walk by us while we film it with our HD digital cameras. Unfortunately this is not the case. The Bigfoot lives in the forest and the wild areas. He is at home there. Just like the Whitetail Deer, he also knows how to hide and watch.The average person has no experience in the wild and has never hunted. The concept of trying to find a wild animal hiding is foreign to them. When shown a picture of a deer or other animal hiding 99% of the general public can not even find it even after it is pointed out to them. How can they then be expected to see a Bigfoot hiding in thick cover?

Ketchum Bigfoot DNA Study - She Said/He Said

Well, here we go again. The second round of attacks have begun. I knew it was only a matter of time. The results of the DNA study and the results of the genomes called into questions by Justin Smeja's claims and the alleged testing results brought forward by Bart Cutino. Again the full and complete genome destroy any claim that can be made that Sample 26 (The Smeja Sample)  was a hunk of bear flesh contaminated with human DNA.

Justin Smeja still maintains he cut a piece off of the flesh he had recovered from the shooting site and sent it to the Ketchum  DNA study. They also maintain that this was the same flesh that was later tested at Trent University with the results being "bear" with human contamination  according to DNA testing done by Trent University.

My footage "Plot Watcher Bigfoot" was featured on Animal Planet's Finding Bigfoot TV Show. The show aired on February 24th. I had reservations about doing the show at first but the experience was very enjoyable.  The cast and crew were great to work with and extremely accommodating. They made me feel very comfortable and were very hard working.

We had to hike a long way in and then up a mountain and the cast and crew stayed right with me all the way. The cast was also very complementary and I appreciated that very much. I want to say thank you to the cast and crew of Animal Planet's Finding Bigfoot!

Ketchum DNA Study Supports Residential Visitation Claims

Over the past 2 years I have documented continued Bigfoot visits to my place of residence. I have foot print pictures, eye witness accounts from  7 individuals, documented police reports, trail camera eye shine photographs and night vision video that was collaborated by an independent witness. I also was able to collect hair samples. Three of these samples are in the Ketchum DNA Study. Supplemental Table 1, Samples 2, 3, and 70. Each sample was verified to be Bigfoot/Sasquatch. 

Bigfoot Is REAL, Dr Ketchum has 3 complete indisputable genomes, and the "main stream" scientist know it! That is why they must destroy her anyway they can...

The HiSeq2000 - Used to prove Bigoot's Existence

I was reading the comments to a blog post about the Q30 scores from the next generation Illumina platform on the 3 Bigfoot genomes when the light came on! Dr. Ketchum has the goods, she has solid, repeatable, undeniable, independently verifiable proof that Bigfoot is a real, living, breathing, entity and those main stream scientist "in the know" are painfully aware of this and extremely afraid of it! This is why Dr. Ketchum did the things she did in the last year. I am not saying a I agree with everything she did, but I now understand it.

First let me explain the "Q30" scores that just zoomed over our collective heads. This is the key, this is why the critics are afraid, VERY afraid. Dr. Ketchum extracted and purified three samples (26, 31 and 140) with large amounts of high quality DNA. (Note that sample 26 came from the alleged killing of two Bigfoot by Justin Smeja aka "The Sierra Kills"). She then sent these samples off to the University of Texas, Southwestern laboratory for sequencing. The UT laboratory used a widely accepted and proven process known as "the next generation Illumina platform". The machine that processes the samples is known as a HiSeq 2000 next generation sequencer. Here is an excerpt from the DNA study that explains what a "Q30" score is and what it means. 

David Paulides Discusses His Bigfoot Sighting While On An Outing With Me.

David Paulides talked about the Bigfoot sighting he had while visiting with me a while back. I had taken him into the area that I call the "Hot Spot" (See video below) to show him where I had collected all the DNA samples from. While in the creek drainage surrounded by laurel thickets Dave spotted a Bigfoot looking through the vegetation at him.

Bigfoot DNA Study Update - Dr. Ketchum Responds to Critics

After a heated debate with Steve Kulls on the blog talk radio show Bigfoot Tonight last Sunday night I asked Dr. Ketchum to help me with a few questions I did not have the answers to and only she could answer. Bigfoot Ketchum DNA Study Update - GenBank Shows Lack of Scientific Ethics

Lately those of us interested or with samples in the DNA Study have been bombarded with all these new phrases and concepts. I have had to put myself through a crash course just to keep up with all the discussion .I have listed the definitions of some of those acronyms and terms that we are hearing Dr. Ketchum and others throw around. Terms like BLAST Search, Genomes, DNA Strands, GenBank, Next Generation Testing, etc. This list can be found at the end of this post.

It appears the GenBank has been up to some "hanky panky" when it comes to accepting the three complete genomes from Dr. Ketchum's Bigfoot Study. Dr. Ketchum reported in her interview with George Knapp that GenBank had rejected her submission of the genomes and refused to allow her to upload the sequences into the database. This was a MAJOR issue of contention with the critics. One critic remarked - "GeneBank never turns down Genomes!, there must be contamination or a flaw in the data".

Bigfoot DNA Study Coast to Coast Interview - Dr. Ketchum SLAM DUNKS critics!

One of the major criticisms is that the genomes were not posted to GenBank so other scientist could review them. GenBank refused to accept it because it had "no species attached". When Dr. Ketchum responded that it is a new Homo Sapien (Human) GenBank refused to post the sequences until they had a "signed release and permission from the subject since it was human" What?!?! how can you get a signed release from a Bigfoot?!?!

Another interesting quote from Dr. Ketchum referring to emails received from one of the labs doing the blind study. "I got an email that said "We got this really weird fragment and we did a BLAST search of GenBank and it did not match anything, what did you send us? did you discover a new species?"

Bigfoot DNA Study Update - David H. Swenson, Ph.D. Biochemist Supports Study

Lately all we have heard from is the critics and their list of scientist that say the DNA Study is "bunk". Dr. Ketchum has posted a statement in support of the DNA Study from a scientist with credentials that rival the studies critics. David H. Swenson, Ph.D. who is a Biochemist and has over 39 journal publications to his credit. (Click here to read his resume)

Brien Foerster, Jeff Kart, and other interested parties. I went over the manuscript by Melba Ketchum on Bigfoot genomics. My desktop had difficulty with a blast analysis of the consensus sequences. It helped me understand more about the project. This collaborative venture has done a huge project that taxes me to fully grasp. I see interesting homology with a standard human sequence with 99% match for mitochondria. From my abbreviated study, the nuclear genome seems to have human and nonhuman sequences.

My opinion of the creature is that it is a hybrid of a human mother and an unknown hominid male, Just as reported. For all practical purposes, it should be treated as human and protected under law.

Brien, selection of Melba's lab for your studies is a very good call.

Sasquatch is real, as proven by genetic analysis.

It appears Dr. Ketchum has made her raw genome data available to Dr. Swenson and he was able to confirm her findings. I am afraid we are now entering the "debate" phase of the study. We are going to have Geneticist and Scientist review her data and publish conflicting opinions on what the data means. But, this was the ultimate goal, to get legitimate scientist to take a hard look at the DNA and Bigfoot as a living, breathing, biological entity.

 

 

 

Bigfoot or Shadow - Follow Up

I return to the location where I captured a possible Bigfoot on my back trail camera. During follow-up I did not find the "shadow" or the "stump". I think we may have had the real deal on this video. 


 

Bigfoot DNA Study Critics - READ THE STUDY

I am growing weary of reading the same criticisms of the DNA Study. Here are the top two "complaints"

• "To state the obvious, no data or analyses are presented that in any way support the claim that their samples come from a new primate or human-primate hybrid,"  - Leonid Kruglyak of Princeton University 
•  "All of this suggests modern human DNA intermingled with some other contaminant" -
  ArsTechnica.com 

To paraphrase what the critics are saying, all 110 samples are contaminated with human DNA. In their opinions this is the only way to explain these "odd" results. Dr. Ketchum contracted the following laboratories to run BLIND test on the samples. All these labs duplicated the "odd" results. Remember some of these labs are forensic labs used by law enforcement. People are in jail because of the work of these labs. So the assertion by the critics is these labs contaminated the samples. If so there are many people in jail that need to be let go because these laboratories can not be trusted to process the evidence.

Dr. Ketchum Did It! Bigfoot DNA Study Being Reviewed By Top Scientist

Dr. Ketchum announced late yesterday that she was approached by "top level scientist" who volunteered to review her work and the DNA Study! The results will be made public good or bad. Dr. Ketchum also stated that the 3 full genomes will be uploaded to GenBank. (This was a major source of criticism from "mainstream critics")

As I said, this offer came after the paper was published. They will go public in support of our findings only after completion of their analysis and assuming that they obtain the same results as the University of Texas did in our manuscript. If they find anything different, I will report that. Now that the manuscript is published I can be transparent.

The following video explains in detail how I collected hair samples for the DNA study and shows one of the Bigfoot hair donor(s). The sample reference for this video is #38 in Table 1. Researchers Sequence Sasquatch Genome, Novel Hominins Extant in North America

Next-Generation Whole Genome Sequencing Proves Extant Human Relative, Findings Published in Denovo Journal of Science

 A team of eleven scientists with expertise in genetics, forensics, pathology, biochemistry, and biophysics has sequenced three whole nuclear genomes from a novel, contemporary species of hominin in North America. The study, “Novel North American Hominins, Next Generation Sequencing of Three Whole Genomes and Associated Studies,” which analyzed DNA from a total of 111 high-quality samples submitted from across the continent, appears in the inaugural issue of Denovo: Journal of Science (http://www.denovojournal.com) on February 13.

Well, is this it? Is it really going to happen? Is the study being published or released? I am ready just as I am sure you are ready. If the study is published/released soon I will be coming forward with more information about my involvement in the study. Since I am under a NDA I can not talk about any results or give you any  information on the DNA Study that has not already been made public. I am hopeful that the "gag order" everyone  has been under will be lifted soon and we can talk openly about the study and the results.

The Bakers Creek Anomaly - Unknown Cryptid or Pareidolia?

On my first ever expedition I capture this video. I thought it was a lights and shadows making what looked like a face. When I looked at it closer I noticed that the "shadow" moved. I also noticed that the subject maintained it's integrity even though I changed my location and my filming angle. A optical illusion of a face would disappear if I moved my location or angle of filming. 

If it is not a shadow then what is it?

Infant Bigfoots Spotted In North Carolina A Decade Apart

May of 2000 my wife had a young Bigfoot encounter in our front yard. Before I go on I would like to describe were my home is:  We live about ten miles outside of Oxford, NC and at the time you could not see our home from The main road. The home was surrounded by a old growth forest. My nearest neighbor to my left is about a 175 yards away and at the time my nearest neighbor to my right was about 400 yards away. Granville County is a very rural County.

In 2009 I captured what I contend was an infant Bigfoot. The weather was bad and I was using an old black and white trail camera as an after thought to cover one of my good cameras. My logic was just in case something tried to sneak up behind or beside my good camera I would have this old camera watching. Well as things usually unfold this little guy was under the good cameras PIR sensor but in the line of fire for the old camera. Thus we have a blurry black and white video.

How Massive was The Bigfoot "Patty"

MK Davis post another interesting video about the size of "Patty". I have pulled out some stills for comparison. It is amazing just how massive she really is or was. The body thickness and the arms, wow!

 

Bigfoot Hair Sample?

I collected this red to reddish brown hair from my public land research area. The trap was placed where I feed them, 8 feet in a tree below the notch where I put the apples. The hair was collected late January, 2013. Is it Bigfoot hair??

Is there a shovel visible in the Patterson Film???

MK Davis looks at the possibility that there is a "shovel" in frame 352 of the Patterson film. I noticed this suspicious object in one of MK's earlier post and alerted him that I thought I saw something unusual in the footage. Is it a shovel or a man made tool? If so what is it doing here? This was supposed to be a remote area, no one around, spontaneous event, makes you wonder.
